YouTube brings a few new tools to its Premium users to play with, albeit still not at full capacity as it is in the experimental phase.
As detailed in the official YouTube blog post, the company has begun testing new features for Premium members, including the ability to converse using AI integrated into the platform.
As detailed in the official YouTube blog post, the company has begun testing new features for Premium members, including the ability to converse using AI integrated into the platform.
As noted, the AI can answer user questions, suggest related content, and more with the new option. Ideally, you should ask questions related to the video you’re watching, and you’ll have a few pre-suggested ones.
Another possibility being tested involves AI summaries. Although it’s intended more for content creators, YouTube says the AI can condense large sections of comments from longer videos into thematically organized units.
YouTube Premium’s experimental page states that the AI-powered “Ask” feature will only work for users who are 18 or older in the Android app. The test will last until December 15, and the number of places is limited.
Digests work for both Android and iOS users, and testing ends on December 5th, though you can only test one new feature at a time.
Now that this option exists, what would you ask YouTube?
