The current approval rating of US President Joe Biden has reached its lowest point since the beginning of his presidential term, and more than half of Americans are dissatisfied with the way Washington treats the conflict between Hamas and Israel, according to the latest poll by NBC News.
Less than a year until the 2024 presidential election, only 40 percent of American voters approve of what Biden is doing, while 57 percent of respondents disapprove of his performance.
While Biden’s overall approval rating fell just one percentage point from September’s numbers, the seismic shift came in support among voters aged 18 to 34, falling from 46 percent to 31 percent.
In another low for Biden, only 33 percent of Americans are satisfied with his foreign policy, down from 41 percent in September.
When it comes to the conflict between Hamas and Israel, which began in early October, only 34 percent approve of the way the US president is handling the crisis, while 56 percent disapprove.
18- to 34-year-olds were once again the most dissatisfied with their president on this issue, with a whopping 70 percent saying Biden is doing a poor job.
